Tips & Trick for Choosing Laptop :

There are tips & trick for choosing laptop :
1. Decide if you're better served by the PC/Windows platform or the Macintosh or the Linux. You can generally get a faster computer for your money by choosing a Windows OS (Operating System) platform or if you want more complete built-in software you should choose laptop with Macintosh platform. For the cheapest choice you can buy laptop with Linux OS, this OS is very good in security and provide free service, update and software but Linux is harder to understand for beginner.
2. Choose the top brand's laptop to ensure your laptop's quality. Top brands are Dell, Acer , IBM, Hewlett- Packard and Toshiba. And if you want to use Macintosh OS of course you have to choose Apple.
3. Think about what you will do with your laptop. If you want to make your laptop as Multimedia tools, doing your homework and for playing your favourite game, you should consider to buy laptop with good vga card inside (at least with 256 MB memory) and at least with 1 GB RAM. So you can run your favourite applications smoothly. But if you just use your laptop for doing homework, you can choose laptop with at least 512 MB RAM and it's ok to choose low end vga card (with 64 MB memory or shared memory).
4. What about the processor? sometime we think that this is the most important thing in laptop. Yeah, sometime we can be true or we can be wrong. But in fact memory or RAM (Random Acces Memory) is more critical than a faster processor. Buy as much random-access memory (RAM), or system memory, as you can afford. At a bare minimum, get 256 megabytes (MB); 512 MB or 1 GB is preferable. (For a Macintosh, get at least 256 MB and for Vista get at least 1 GB to run it smoothly, but for Linux you can use 128 MB or more than 256 MB (is preferable)). There are two famous brand of processor : Intel and AMD. For gamers and overclockers, they usually choose AMD and for graphic designers they usually use Intel's processor. At the same level, you can get AMD's processor cheaper than Intel's processor.
5. Get at least two universal serial bus (USB) connections and a FireWire (also called IEEE 1394) connection. These will connect peripheral devices, such as a printer, PDA, digital cameras , scanners and game controllers. And you should choose a laptop with card reader, ethernet card (lan card), modem and wi-fi card inside. This will be very useful for you to connect to the internet and transfer data to another terminal.
6. Make sure that you choose laptop with DVD writer so you can burn your data to CD or DVD. Make sure your machine has a DVD drive if you want to watch movies on your laptop. And also you should choose laptop with large capacity of hard drives if you have large data to save (120 to 180 gigabytes (GB) is now commonplace).
7. Ask about upgradability if you intend to use your laptop for a long time, which is considered three or more years. And ask about guarantee of your laptop, many major manufacturers usually also provide support and service on the web. So you can send them an email or browse their website if you have a problem with your laptop.
